How to Configure Email Id’s for Alerts in Zabbix

 

Step 1:   Login into Zabbix web interface as Admin user.

 

Step 2:     Click on “Administrator”  à “User”  à  “Create user group”

 

First create group:

 

Give group name same in below screen shot.

Now under “Permission” field add hostgroup or host by click on ‘Add’ button, check below screen shot.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We have created group with “Rangadashboard” successfully. See above screen shot for ex.

 

 

Step 3:

 

Now click on “User” under “Rangadashboard”

 

Click on “create user

 

Under ”user” option give Alias name and add group name which we have created first , as below screen shot

 

 

Now go to “media” to add email id for alert notification as below screen shot.

 

 

 

Now we have created group and user successfully.

 

 

Step 5:

 

Now go to “ConfigurationàActionàcreate action

 

In “create action” , go to “Action” and give name as below screen shot.

 

Under “conditions” add hostgroup.

 

 

Under “ operations” add groupname.

 

 

Finally click on “Add” to save and update.

 

 

Now we have finished configuring contact in zabbix.
